48 Meditative Poems to Calm the Mind,
Uplift the Soul, and Embrace Stillness
by Dr Kion Ahadi
A journey through time, feeling and vision - written for those seeking a moment of stillness in a restless world.
48 poems · Three movements · One inward journey
Reflections is a deeply personal collection of meditative poetry exploring the passage of time, the intensity of human feeling, and the visions that emerge when we look beyond the surface of everyday life.
Across poems of memory, longing, love, loss, faith, mortality and transcendence, Dr Kion Ahadi invites the reader into a quieter space - one in which questions do not always require immediate answers, and stillness becomes a way of seeing.
The structure of the book

Movement One
The silent current beneath every life.
Memory, ageing, longing, impermanence and the fragile beauty of each passing moment.

Movement Two
The landscapes we carry within.
Love and loss. Desire and sorrow. The ache of separation, the strength of connection, and the emotions that shape who we become.

Movement Three
What becomes visible when we look beyond ourselves.
Purpose, imagination, spiritual searching and cosmic possibility - poems that move from the intimate toward the infinite.
A Reflection for This Moment
From Reflections by Dr Kion Ahadi

The origin of the book
This collection emerged through lived experience rather than a predetermined design. Its poems grew from moments of fear, wonder, love, confusion, spiritual searching and the persistent human need to make meaning.
For Kion, writing became a way to lighten the soul - a meditative offering to those who might recognise something of their own dreams, wounds or questions within his words.
“May these reflections offer solace, insight, or a simple moment of peace.”

About the Author
Author. Scholar. Leader. Seeker.
Dr Kion Ahadi is an author, scholar and senior leader whose work spans human transformation, technology, society, spirituality and the search for meaning.
Born in Tehran and raised in London, his life and work have crossed different worlds - from senior leadership and public service to academic inquiry, writing and reflection. Across these spheres runs a consistent fascination with the forces that shape human beings: time, identity, belief, technology, suffering, resilience and possibility.
Reflections reveals a more intimate dimension of that journey. Written across different periods of life, the poems explore memory and mortality, love and loss, faith and doubt, inner struggle and cosmic imagination.
For Kion, poetry is not an escape from the world. It is another way of trying to understand it.
